Pacific Midwest Ballet was founded in 2018 with the goal of providing performance opportunities for recreational dancers. As of 2023 we have performed three times in the MN Fringe Festival as well as creating our own recorded performances.
Our story ballets have all featured modern plot lines that have been engaging for broad audiences. Original choreography and fun costumes are also characteristics of our performances.
Possibly the best part of performing in the Twin Cities has been the chance to meet dozens of other inspiring artists that love to dance as much as we do. We love being a part of this dance community and hope to encourage its growth.
In the past our choreography has been primarily ballet-based. However, each show has opportunities to showcase different dance styles. If you're interested and have another dance style you'd like to incorporate, let us know.
Adults ages 18 and up are welcome to join!
We expect that dancers have at least one year of ballet experience to be able to follow combinations. We try create opportunities for many different levels, so talk to us if you're unsure if this group is a good fit for you.
The best way to join is to subscribe to our mailing list and attend the next open rehearsal/class or audition.
We have rehearsed at many studio across the Twin Cities metro including Ballet Co. Laboratory, The Cowles Center, Tu Dance, Threads Dance Project, and Hothouse. We choose locations based on rehearsal space availability.
